Lead Producer - Play Produce Promote
The Lead Producer will manage a Youth Music funded project that aims to help 14- to 25-year-olds in the Great Yarmouth area build and sustain a new music scene in the town. The project offers opportunities for young people to experience all areas of the music industry from performing to producing and promoting.
The Lead Producer will have excellent organisational and communication skills as well as a passion for music and supporting young people. You will have experience managing events and programme administration. In addition you will know how to build relationships with other music and creative organisations to create a thriving local music scene. You will need to be a strong communicator with both young people as well as various partners and stakeholders and be able to build rapport easily and have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding. You will have strong digital skills and ideally be comfortable working with, and reporting on, data.
Evaluation is key to the success of the project and important as part of the funding, you will need to work closely with our external evaluator to ensure we can evidence the journey young people make. You will be part of a small, but very hard-working team at Freshly Greated, most of whom work remotely, and it will be important that you keep everyone up to date with any developments and communicate clearly, with robust and efficient systems in place to do so, as there are a lot of opportunities for crossover between PPP and other Freshly Greated activities.
In this role you will report directly to the Programme Director and you will be responsible and line manage a support role for the project, an Event Assistant Apprentice. Play Produce Promote is already a very successful project and has a great team of people who have managed it so far. The current Project Manager will therefore continue to work on the project, acting as a mentor and consultant. You will be based primarily at an office space at Drill House (South Site Lock-up) on York Road, where most of the activity will take place, but hybrid working is an option.
